Do You Keep God in a Little Box?

It really makes me sad when I hear people saying how they just don't believe something that is in the Word of God. There are many things of God that may seem strange to our natural minds, but is it up to us to say what is truth and what is not? The one and only true source of all truth is God and His Word. Nothing can be lifted higher. Certainly not the opinions of man. Oh how we limit God. Sometimes we choose to put Him in a little box of only what our minds can handle. How sad, oh how very sad. It just breaks my heart how much we miss when we choose not to believe. I encourage you today to get brave. Seek truth at all costs. Say to God, "Whatever you have for me, I want it! Don't hold anything back! Please God reveal the truth to me about everything that I've been blinded to!" I've been doing this for years and it is amazing how much God has opened my eyes to!
Friends, we serve a great BIG God with endless exciting characteristics! With endless adventures and joy and power! Our God is able to do anything!

I love this verse in 2 Timothy 4:3,4

For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.

This makes me think of so many people who decide what they want to believe and then find teachings to back that up! How sad, what a waste! Think about this, what good is believing something or learning about something that is not the truth???
True wisdom seeks truth. The truth is the Word of God.

Proverbs 2:1-12

My son if you accept my words and store up my commands within you, turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding, and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God.
For the Lord gives wisdom, and from His mouth come knowledge and understanding. He holds victory in store for the upright, he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless, for he guards the course of the just and protects the way of his faithful ones.
Then you will understand what is right and just and fair - every good path. For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul. Discretion will protect you, and understanding will guard you. Wisdom will save you from the ways of wicked men, from men whose words are perverse...

I challenge you today to seek truth with all your heart. Seek the Word of God for truth. Seek it constantly, make it your goal in life. Read the Word, meditate on it, learn it, Go for it!
