Real truth is based on the Word of God. The Word of God is the standard we look to when determining what is true and what is not. Who or What has the final say in your life? Oprah? Channel 5 news? Your emotions?
We cannot even trust our emotions to tell us the truth! We cannot trust our bodies to tell us the truth. Our bodies might be screaming, "I'm sick!!!" But the Word of God says, "By His stripes we WERE healed!" I know, it's hard to make sense of that sometimes. But by meditating on the Word, we can get a revelation, and all of the sudden "know" the truth. "By Golly, if God says I am healed then I AM healed!" For God is not a man that He should lie!
T.V. and newspapers constantly blare doom and gloom and scary things. This is when we have to focus on the truth, the Word of God and the thousands of promises for us that are in it!
Philippians 4:8
Whatever is noble, whatever is true, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable - if anything is excellent or praiseworthy - think about such things.

- Hi, my name is Kristi, I have opened this blog because God led me to do so. I want people to come here to be encouraged and built up in the Lord. I make a commit to do my best to write only what the Lord leads me to, no more, no less. I always want you to hold my words up against the Word of God to make sure they line up. Don't ever just take my word on something, go to the Bible and see if it's true. If I was reading someone's devotional I would want to know who they are and what their fundamental beliefs are. So here is a little about me, I am a home-schooling mother of 4, who loves God with all her heart. My priorities in life are God and family first, with friends coming up closely after that. I believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, as God's son He was both human and man. I believe there is only one true God, revealed as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. I believe there is only one way to heaven and that is through making Jesus Christ the Lord of your life. I believe that we can agree to disagree and still have fellowship as Christians but these specific truths that I listed cannot be compromised on in any way.
